LEAKED: The new C-Class Coup� (C 205) exposed!

MBBLOG is one the very first online automotive publications to publish the first (un)official photos with the all new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coup�, internally dubbed as the C 205. The pictures have just been leaked onto the web prior to the official online reveal scheduled for tomorrow morning. As you can see, the second generation of the C-Coup� has been transformed into a true S-Class Coup� baby brother.

The elegant, curvaceous design is underlined by the muscular rear wheel arches and the impressively stylish side window kink, which gives the car a fastback, very dynamic silhouette. Compared to the outgoing C 204 model series, the new C 205 breaths with sexiness and boasts an outstanding and highly appealing design philosophy, which has evolved in a harmonious manner in order to give the new 2-door model from Stuttgart a unique personality.

The front end is distinguishable through the single-louvre design of the Diamond grille, which awards the C-Coup� with a shiny, luxurious appearance. The luscious side profile, which bares the well-known Mercedes-Benz upper character line, is evenly continued in a sensual style at the rear end, where the elegant LED tail lights sport a dramatic design and are definitely going to deliver a sensational light show at night.

The cabin of the new C-Class Coup�, even though highly similar to that of the core C-Class models, appears to have even more upscale materials and more refined details, as well as new colour combinations for the leather upholstery. The engine range is still to be confirmed, but we guess the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coup� (C 205) will be available right from the start of sales with some of the core powerplants already in offer on the existing C-Class models in the lineup - the W 205 and the S 205 -, as follows:

- C 180 Coup� with 156 hp
- C 200 Coup� with 184 hp
- C 220 d Coup� with 170 hp
- C 250 Coup� with 211 hp
- C 250 d Coup� with 204 hp
- C 300 Coup� with 245 hp
- C 400 Coup� with 333 hp

The Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coup� models, in their standard and S-Model iteration, will be launched later and will feature the AMG M177 4.0-litre BITURBO engine in two output variants: 476 hp and 510 hp. A C 450 AMG 4MATIC Coup� version with 367 hp is also possible, but what is certain is that Mercedes-Benz will offer the 4MATIC traction system as an option on most of the range-topping models (C 220 d Coup�, C 250 d Coup�, C 250 Coup� and C 400 Coup�). On specific high-end models (mainly diesel-powered, for the beginning), power will be transmitted to the wheels with the help of the newly developed 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox, which improves engine dynamics and efficiency characteristics of the new C-Class Coup�.
